In 1980, Dr. Bill Wilson became the Founder & Pastor of Metro World Child, a mission dedicated to providing hope and building futures for children living in adverse conditions in metropolitan areas around the world. Whether faced with poverty, hunger, gang violence or abuse, the mission has transformed the lives of children through the love of Christ.

Established in a small church in Brooklyn, the global organization now reaches 200,000 children every week world with missions in Kenya, the Philippines, South Africa, Indonesia, India, and Haiti.

In 2018 we commemorated Dr. Wilson’s 70th birthday and 50th anniversary of the mission. He has initiated a fundraiser called Klimbing for Kids, where he and a group of trekkers climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa (16,100 feet) in summer 2018.
